After graduation from BHS, went to St. John's University for about a year and one-half. Left to join the Army and served 3 years (1964-1967) all in Heidelberg, Germany, rising to the rank of Sergeant. Got to travel through Europe, including Italy, France, Switzerland, and West Berlin. After the Army, went back to St. John's, graduated and got a job as a Special Agent with the Treasury Department (CID-IRS) and spent 26 years there before retiring. Along the way I received a Masters of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from University of New Haven. After retiring I dabbled in Private Investigative work and had a seven year run which proved just as interesting as my former career. Along the way got hitched to my wife, Leslie (Bishop McDonnell High School Class of 65; Hunter College Class of '69 RN) of now 47 years, have 2 adult boys, and one adult girl, five grand children, all girls, and two great grandsons. Two of my children have followed me in law enforcement, one son is now a high ranking police officer and my daughter was a federal agent before beginning a family.
I am a full time grandfather and great grandfather now. However, I do get time to travel to the Casinos in CT (where I live now) for a little gaming action.
